IM BACK!!

Did you really think I would leave?
I guess I better address my long absence (for anyone wondering) I have merely been crazy at work. I work at a shoe store, which I know doesn't sound that demanding, but as a perfectionist I have been working very hard to be able to do my job well.
I am a stock coordinator and a sales person, two things I had never done before but surprisingly was hired.
Ohwell that aside I unfortunately not been able to decorate my room but that will all change.
As I am making better money this year (and nearly out of debt! Hopefully by the end of February) I will be spending more money on clothes (if that's possible) and decor.
And now that i have an iPhone 4 I can take photos of my room so please excuse them not being perfect, I still need to get a proper HD camera.
So here a few pictures of my dressing room:

My vanity that I have had for many years

A peek at some of my clothes that are hanging on my clothing rack and some of my shoes

Details:

My favourite pair of heels

My favourite wedges

One of two porcelain birds I like to keep on my vanity

Some perfumes I own; Peace Love and Juicy by Juicy Couture, Juicy Couture by Juicy Couture,
Couture Couture by Juicy Couture and DKNY Be Delicious Fresh Blossom.

The box that my set of Peace, Love and Juicy Couture perfume came in that holds
various eye shadows and other make-up goods. I think the box is too cute to throw away.

I hope you enjoyed seeing my room, though it is still far from being completed.
I will update the journey of my room decor on here and in the next couple of posts I will make sure I show you all my actual bedroom as that too will have a decor overhaul over this year.
Well that's all really its 12.04am in New Zealand and unfortunately I have work at 9.30am so I better stop for now.
Night Dolls, hope you are having a lovely 2012 so far.

One Of My Favourite Things - Couples That Dress Compatibly

As a child I always dreamed of marriage and being part of a couple and all of  the things that came with that. And one of the main things that always stuck in my head was the fact I could not only dress myself but dress my husband.
I think when it is so chic and adorable when a couple look well put together, not only do they look like a proper couple but they match in photos. Unfortunately I am not part of a couple or married so I cannot do this yet but I do love looking at photos of well dressed couples so that I can get ideas of how I will coordinate my outfits with my future partner.

My favourite couple that does this is definatley Olivia Palermo and her boyfriend Johannes Huebl.

His preppy style matches her New York sophistication very well.
I have not seen one bad photo of them ever. They consistently look chic and well dressed.

A couple, well family, that come a very close second is Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick and Mason Disick .

He dresses preppy aswell but she dresses very feminine and sometimes sexy. They always look so cute together and on top of that they dress their son Mason just as well. The whole family are just so effortlessly chic and truly what I want my family to look like in the future.

They are the my two favourite couples I love to look at but some other couples that are both well dressed are;
Rachel Zoe, Rodger Berman and baby Skyler Berman. I absolutely love how Rodger dresses and of course Rachel is consistently stunning in whatever she wears but add a baby in Missoni and I die for how amazing this family looks.

Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries. She is the epitome of femininity. I love so many outfits she wears and teamed with his laidback look they are constantly a cute couple.

I know they are aren't a real couple but Blair Waldorf and Chuck Bass dress so well I couldn't exclude them from this list. If you have seen any episode of gossip girl I don't think I need to explain why I love how they dress. Its just perfection.

I know this post is quite random but to be honest this is something I think about a lot and I am sure there are other people who also do.
I will soon start posting my own pictures and hauls e.t.c as I have just gotten a new amazing job and will be buying a camera soon.
So watch this space for more beautiful photos of things in my life. Tonight is a Saturday in NZ and unfortunately im staying in as I still don't know anyone. I probably will spend the night watching The Hills and cleaning cause im wild.

FIRST POST - NEW HOUSE DECOR INSPIRATION

I recently moved from Christchurch to Dunedin and relish the thought of decorating a new space.
My old house was brand new with three bedrooms but was small and attached.
I had a small bedroom and tiny office space.
My new house is older, detached and MUCH bigger. I have one large room and one small room all to myself.
I was sleeping in the large room at first but the room was so hard to warm so I have my bed in the small room and I have decided that I want my large room to be a dressing room/closet space with my home office in there aswell.
Because I want to be a Fashion Journalist it is logical to have both areas together.
Here are some inspiration pictures:

So far my room only has 3 pieces of furniture; my desk, my white dressing table and a small pink bookshelf.
Since I wont be living here longer then a year I want to buy things I can easily take to other places so I probably wont buy any more furniture.
One thing I think that would be appropriate is a room divider as I have always wanted one but never had the space.
I love the boxes in this picture and will definitely try to replicate this in my room

Since I rent I really have to be smart at how to make the rooms work for me and here I have the problem of gross small closets that do not fit hangers so I will definitely be buying clothing racks.
I want the main theme of the room to be girly and white with splashes of colour through clothes and pink boxes for storage. I will also lay out all of my shoes so that it will be much easier to get ready.
I want it to feel like Rachel Zoe's styling area but with my own touches to it.

As for my small bedroom I already have pretty duvet covers and throws all in a Parisian theme but I want to finish off my inspiration board so that it looks similar to this:

My bedroom only houses a bed and small white plain bookcase that I use as bed side table. I don't want any more big furniture in it but I do want to get a small chair to put in the room to make the room feel more complete. A chair along the lines of this:

That is all I really have to say, I am still in the process of planning as you can see but I think I know pretty much what I want and where. When I get a camera I will definitely show you my progress on the rooms.

I have just downloaded Season One of Top Design so I am off to watch that and hopefully find more inspiration.
